European Solidary Corps

What?

European solidarity corps is an EU initiative that aims to encourage young people into international actions by different kind of solidarity projects. Projects´ duration is 2-12 months and they can take place in any country or candidate country of both EU and EFTA and also European neighboring countries that are cooperating with European solidarity corps. You can find the specific countries on European youth portal. Projects meet the need of the society and reinforce the community. Examples of these kind of projects could be working among children, youth and elderly, protecting environment or promoting culture. Volunteering abroad develops different aspects of life and the most important – it will be memorable experience. After volunteering the young will receive Youthpass – a certificate that will have importance for example when applying for jobs.

European Solidarity Corps aims to assure equal opportunities for every young person to reach mobility in Europe. Hence youngsters will be supported always financially and otherwise as much as they hope; others might need or feel like they need more help than the others.

For whom?

For youth aged 18-30 who are interested in solidarity, living abroad and getting to know foreign cultures. In most of the cases the language to communicate is English but in some cases it can also be another language.
